An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the lifestyle financial planning division of a leading, workplace pensions and benefits organisation. As a Financial Planner you will be responsible for developing a portfolio of clients – predominantly in the pre and at retirement lifestage. You will provide and present advice of the strongest quality to high quality clients and secure long lasting relationships.
The firm as a whole has an extensive nationwide client bank that has mainly come to the financial planning service through corporate clients and therefore have a long standing relationship with Johnson Fleming. The company has built its business on a reputation for excellent service and long term relationships with its clients so it is essential to share a similar philosophy with a client-centric approach.
The role is to advise new and existing clients. You will be provided with enquiries from our extensive client bank and expected to develop profitable new clients, but with a primary focus on delivering an excellent level of service. Candidates for this position must be at least PFS Diploma level qualified (or equivalent,) hold CF30 or have completed gap fill leading to SPS. You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. Being approachable and trustworthy with personal values aligned to the culture of the organisation is essential, along with the ability to work to a high level of accuracy. You will need to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and manage your own time effectively.
You’ll be working in our modern head office, based in Bromsgrove as well as extensive travel across to the UK for client visits. We are a flexible employer and home working and flexible working patterns can be accommodated.
Provide high quality professional advice and act as primary client contact, including attendance at new client meetings
Use of CRM System to record client and personal activity and to report accurate management information
Work closely with our administration and IT teams to ensure they support sales strategy and future proposition development
Maintain FCA regulated status and work diligently with JF FLP T&C regime
Qualifications / Skills:
At least PFS Diploma level qualified (or equivalent) and progressing towards Chartered Status (if not already Chartered)
Experience in advising clients preferred or a strong track record in a similar financial services role.
Must be experienced in building long-lasting client relationships.
Currently holding CF30 or completed gap fill leading to SPS
Honest and trustworthy with a desire to work to the highest standards of compliance
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all types of clients and colleagues
Well-developed capability to prioritise and manage both yourself and others in order to achieve challenging objectives
The ability to identify and take advantage of client opportunities
