Department: Johnson Fleming Future Life Planning

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the lifestyle financial planning division of a leading, workplace pensions and benefits organisation. As a Paraplanner you will be responsible for providing research support in order to help Financial Planners deliver a high quality of service to our clients. You will also provide administration support to the Future Life Planning Manager and team.

As a Paraplanner you will be there to support all individual new business and individual client relationships. 

Candidates for this position must possess excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels. You will need to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and managing your own time effectively is also important.

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Carry out research and analyse products and services that are appropriate to each client’s financial circumstances and substantiate appropriateness of advice provided by advisors
  • Preparation of detailed reports working in conjunction with Financial Planners
  • Assist the Financial Planners in establishing new client relationships
  • Preparation of Lifestyle Financial Plans
  • Assist with the accurate completion of application and proposal forms
  • Implement actions, such as changing existing investment holdings and policy information, as directed by the Financial Planners
  • Support the ongoing client relationship
  • Manage all client relationship
  • Manage all client databases
  • Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge relating to core product areas (Pensions, Protection and Investments) and surrounding legislation
  • General office and administration duties
  • Maintain best practice in the compliance framework
  • Ensure strong and timely management of all tasks

 

Qualifications/experience:

  • Previous financial services experience is essential including Defined
    Benefit, Money Purchase, Pension Transfers and Protection and
    Investment
  • Strong technical knowledge
  • Level 3 preferred, Level 4 or working towards it desirable
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office suite
  • Good product and tax knowledge
  • Experience with CRM, fund platforms and comparison / analysis tools
