Associate Consultant

You will be required to increase employee engagement and provide first class customer service. To engage and educate our clients’ employees about their pensions and employee benefits via a wide range of communication methods.

The Associate role offers an opportunity to join this team supporting the Consultants and delivering member communications whilst gradually taking responsibility for your own client portfolio.

The ability to work independently with limited supervision is paramount to this role and the successful applicant will be required to show that they can work effectively with existing company systems and processes. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, motivated by personal achievement and delivering excellent results however they will need to work effectively with colleagues to deliver the service our clients expect. Candidates for this position must possess a high level of communication skills, be focused and be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver group presentations to new and existing clients’ employees
  • Conduct fully compliant one-to-one / telephone meetings, to enable employees to join their company pension scheme
  • Maintain accurate meeting records
  • Assist in the development of communication methods and material
  • Employee contact and support
  • Maintain accurate records on internal systems
  • Manage service delivery to clients
  • Drive new business from existing client relationships and support new prospect relationships
  • Act as secondary contact for key clients
  • To effectively manage and develop corporate client relationships

Qualifications / Experience:

  • FA2 desirable
  • A background in employee benefits focused in group pensions
  • Experience within a customer facing role
  • Good IT skills in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in a sales environment / account management
  • Knowledge of the benefits landscape including group pensions, auto-enrolment and group risk and healthcare
  • Must be a self-starter highly motivated by their own success

  • Driven and motivated to achieve client retention and development targets
  • Ability to identify opportunities and drive forward relevant new business opportunities from existing clients

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Willing to travel extensively across the UK
